Asteroids: Data Files:
1994 XM1

Summary:XM1 was a close-call asteroid.
Description:This add-on displays the close-call asteroid 1994 XM1. To install, simply copy the XYZ file to your Celestia\data directory, and then copy the SSC file to your Celestia\extras directory AFTER modifying the following in the SSC file. If you don't do this, you won't see the asteroid in Celestia. Simply replace the .3DS file extension within the file so that it reads as a .CMS file. This is necessary unless you DO have an asteroid.3ds file in your Celestia\models folder. Also, this add-on only displays the asteroid between the dates of August 26, 1989 and June 11, 2000.

Michael pastorett - this is because the addon only works for a certain time frame. You have to go back in time using control-T (or command-T).

Here's my modified .ssc file, which fixes it (Only works for 1.6.0 and above):

When I got up close it would not appear no matter what model I had specified!
