| Description: | This is a 1K (1024 x 512) JPG texture which was created based on observations taken by the Mariner 10 spacecraft on October 21, 2001. Please note that the texture is largely fictitious because it was produced from a single visible-frequency Mariner 10 image which was then replicated across the entire map. Simply right-click on the image and select "save image as..." to download the texture. To install in Celestia, simply copy the image to your Celestia\textures\medres directory. This procedure will REPLACE your default Celestia Venus texture, so you may wish to rename your original texture first. |
