| Summary: | This add-on provides some objects related to the Milky Way centre. |
| Description: | This add-on contains the following stellar objects: - "Milky Way black hole:Sagittarius A*:Sgr A*" the supermassive black hole at the centre of the Milky Way - S-stars orbiting around the supermassive black hole. Rev. 4.0 - 24/03/2011 The model of the black hole has been taken from the Black Hole 108 Nebula add-on by Frank Gregorio. A simple barycenter has been adopted instead of the neutron star. The medres texture "black_hole-black.jpg" is the same used in the Black Hole 108 Nebula add-on. Rev. 5.0 - 19/09/2012 The model of the black hole has been taken from my Cygnus X-1 add-on; this model has been adapted to the supermassive Galaxy centre black hole. |

Recently an outburst activity of Sgr A* has been detected.
However, this object is about 26 kly away from us, therefore any detected activity refers to 26000 years ago actual activity of Sgr A*, and possible today activity will be detected in 26000 years here.
I think there is no need to concern about the presence of an accretion disk around the black hole ;-)

@gaffo just go to the stc/ssc files and delete the Disk Entries, thus leaving only the fed-up black hole.

Luigi, Sagitarius A is currently "dark" - i.e. not being fed. It would be more accurate if there was no acression(sp) disc around it ;-/.
my 2-cents.

This is fantastic! I've been looking for a galactic centre and sagittarius a* add-on for ages!
The only thing missing is the black hole's accretion disc. The black hole just get's, well, a bit boring after a while. I'll be expecting some updates.

Add the accretion disk to the supermassive black hole! You can make some in Cygnus X-1 add-on! MAKE IT TO THIS ADD-ON! I wait for updates! ;)

Really great, all those stars swarming are quite... impressive!
You could add an accretion disk to the supermassive black hole, there are a few add-ons from where you could learn how to!
