Fictional: Star Trek:
System J-25 & Starbase 185

Summary:System J-25 was a star system with at least one M-class planet. Starbase 185 was the starbase closest to the J-25 system.
Description:System J-25 was a star system with at least one M-class planet, located 7,000 light years from Federation space in the Beta Quadrant.
The Federation starship USS Enterprise-D was transported to this system by Q in 2365. Scans revealed evidence of a previous advanced civilization on the planet, but also massive surface scarring notably similar to that detected on several Federation and Romulan outposts along the Romulan Neutral Zone in 2364, which had removed all machine elements on the planet. Shortly after the Enterprise made first contact with a Borg cube in the outskirts of the system, which was likely responsible for the destruction on the surface. (TNG: "Q Who")

Version 3 J-25: Updated system, textures, stc file.
Version 2a SB 185: Updated Starbase and its location.

The Federation Starbase 185 was the starbase closest to the J-25 system when the USS Enterprise-D was transported there by Q in 2365.

Do not use the OpenGL 2.0 render path when viewing Tim's addons. It is not needed and it makes the water look blocky. They look just fine in the other render paths.

The Starbase 185 file did not get updated with the J 25 System file because of a small fix I had to do after I sent it in. It is fixed now and will be avaliable soon.

This update corrects the stc file, so no need for the one you see below by JTK

Can you get closer with that last pic? Hard to tell some of the star's names.
Thanks

Fungun, you haven't understood anything !
The J-25's location is always on alpha quadrant (behind Deneb).
Your STC's update is bad, look at the fifth screenshot of your job ???

Excellent addon! I really like the borg battle and the planet with asteroids in the rings. :)

Yeah, It's exactly the same map !
The orange line pass by Gam CRa, Aldebaran, the Sun is middle way.
Your location is at the corner up-left when Polaris is behind you (under celestia of course).

Yes fungun, i've got it.
When we open it, we saw the line between Sun and Aldebaran (down view) and between Sun and Gam CRa (up view) which separates the twice quadrants.
Polaris behind you, J-25 is at Up-left !
Conclusion : it's in Gamma quadrant.

JTK, do you have a copy of the Star Trek Star Charts book????
I know it is a 2D map of a 3D object, our galaxy, but if you draw a line from Sol to Starbase 185 on the map, it IS in the Delta Quadrant. That line also comes very close to Gam Hya, which we know its RA. So, since this the only description of where SB185 is, that's the RA I used for this addon. All I did was adjust the distance out to 7000 Lyrs. Which by the dialogue in the episode, is true.

To "anonymous"-it is within the habitable zone for the star I put there. So maybe I have the albiedo wrong. Let's not get to technical...it is only fiction : )

the inhabited planet is too far of its star and it has a lower temperature surface (247K).
You must put it closely (Earth=260K) !

Your star system is located in Gamma quadrant so the borgs come from Delta quadrant !
