Mars was, at least to some, a vision of ancient cities and canals created by a dying race of Martians. A world of hurtling moons and green four armed sword swinging Tharks.
This set of textures is based on the last official Mars map to show canals, the MEC-1 Prototype published in 1967 by the Aeronautical Chart and Information Center, ACIC. You will find more information here.
Nyar added a decent sized fantasy moon called Meres, based on the 'dwarf planet' Ceres. If you don't want to add this moon, just delete the file 'meres.ssc'! |
